Digital Innovation Developer (m/f/d)
BASF leads the digital transformation in chemicals. Within the cluster “Smart Innovation and Technologies”, we use digital technologies across the company to upgrade our offerings and internal processes for digital technology leadership in the chemical space -- with a focus on where the largest growth and efficiency gains can be achieved on a short timescale. We focus on agile and iterative execution and tangible projects that deliver clear benefits from digital technologies to our customers on a short timescale.
We work in interdisciplinary teams and agile collaborations. Our work is very diverse, with all 86 businesses of BASF in scope.
As Digital Innovation Developer (m/f/d) you use all possibilities of digitalization to deliver business results. You will be supported by a DevOps organization and a network of third party developers as well as an experienced group of data analysts.
What you can expect
- Further increase reach, impact, and scale of digital applications in Europe and act as key focal point for operating divisions
- Understand opportunities for digital innovation and deliver both increased internal efficiency and business growth
- Together with the business units, develop and prioritize ideas for digital innovation projects, set up project teams of internal staff and external service providers, and oversee agile execution of the prioritized ideas
- Ensure implementation of successful projects in everyday business life and track their benefits
- Continuously improve infrastructure and processes to scale digital innovation across the organization. Resolve barriers to agile and speedy execution.

What we expect
- You master design thinking and iterative digital business development.
- You hold a degree in a technical field, like Engineering, Science or Information Technology or an MBA with experience in technology.
- You have gained at least two years of work experience in a digital business environment.
- You combine creativity and a sense for business opportunities with bold and structured execution.
- You convince your audience by your excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
